Jonesborough Civitan Club With
2 of the new Wheelchairs to be Provided
President Adam Dickson and President-Elect Todd Smith of the Jonesborough Civitan Club announces their wheelchair lending project to citizens who have disabilities that require the use of wheelchairs and are not covered by a healthcare plan or their healthcare plan does not cover wheelchairs. The project has been a work in progress for the last year year. President Dickson appointed a Wheelchair Committee to develop a process to drive the project. The Committee consists of Marion Light; Chairman, Bill Wildman, Elmer Harmon and Fred Phillips.
Mac’s Medicine Mart in Kingsport, submitted the low bid, which makes it possible for the Civitan Club to offer manual wheelchairs for those who qualify for either short or long term usage, at no charge to the recipient.
